The menu goes local

Will you have guests over for the holidays or take part in a potluck? Either way, aim to go local. Whether you think of maple syrup, cheese, charcuteries, microbrewed beers or organic vegetable baskets, the Canadian terroir is chockfull of food possibilities that will allow you to design a menu with a minimal environmental footprint. Also consider fair-trade coffee, tea, sugar and chocolate to cap off meals in gourmet…and certified fashion!

Lastly, as much as possible, select tablecloths and napkins made of fabric, as well reusable dishware, which you can then clean together as a group, so it never feels like a chore.
